We head South of Puerto Vallarta, to the small fishing village of Boca De Tomatlan.
Our hike starts by a river that flows into a small bay and ends at one of Puerto Vallarta's most secluded beaches, Playa Los Colomitos. Here, you will have an opportunity to snorkel and discover many varieties of tropical fish. After about an hour or so of snorkeling, we will have lunch (additional $) and relax on the beach, swim in the tranquil waters and enjoy ourselves surrounded by a beautiful scenery of the Banderas Bay.
Then we hike back through the tropical jungle to Boca de Tomatlan, encountering many fantastic photo opportunities like a wooden slat and rope suspension bridge through the river, for example. As we hike, we may also encounter a great variety of tropical birds, butterflies, lizards, and trees that are native to Banderas Bay region. Your bilingual naturalist guide will tell you all about the natural ecosystem of Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco and Riviera Nayarit region as you enjoy the hike back.
